In the first event of its kind in West Virginia, WV Rotorsports is hosting a large-scale MultiGP FPV Drone Race at the Monongalia County Fair on Saturday, August 5th.  This event has been sanctioned by the Adademy of Model Aeronautics, sanction number #17/1655.

Admission to race spectators is free with the price of the fair admission.  Fair admission includes unlimited access to all rides and events therein. Fair tickets are $10 and will be available for pre-sale or at the gate. 


Entry fee for the race is $25, which includes admission to the fair for one person.  To enter the race, you must submit your entry fee via EventBrite before July 28th.  After submitting your registration fee, join the race at MultiGP.com and check-in for your channel assignment.

  • Trackmate compatible transponder is required for best lap prize
  • Max 200mw IMD5 compatible VTX required
  • TBS Unify Pro HV Race recommended
  • Full AMA membership required
  • Minimum 6 LiPo packs required

Electricity will be available, but limited. Free water will be available for pilots and their party.  It is recommended to bring a folding/camping chair for the pit area, where we will have some canopies set up for shade.

Pilots will use their own FPV gear – ground stations will not be provided.  If you must use a ground station you will be responsible for set up and tear down, and it must not interfere with other pilots or with the progression of the race. If it is determined that a ground station is the cause of problems (race delays, interference, etc.) then the ground station will not be permitted for use.
